Day 18: Character the most screwed over by the writers (and fandom)

“Okay. Okay, but you also want to be there. I get it. You’re white-knuckling it living like this. Like what you are is some bad, awful thing. But you’re not. But I’m not going to have this discussion every time you leave. And this is… this is just going to keep happening, so… I need you to go.”

Lisa is one of the most selfless, big-hearted, welcoming, self-sacrificing individuals this show has ever featured. She opened her heart and home for a man that she had a LEGITIMATE connection with; they had a great weekend together and then several years later, he saved her son. She knows what he does and instead of keeping him away to keep herself safe, she invited him into her life to keep him safe. She was Dean’s shoulder to lean on when he lost the person he loved most in the entire world. And, when Dean got Sam back? Lisa let him go. And, for her troubles, she gets her memory erased. God. That’s so shitty, I just can’t… 

And, fandom? I don’t understand it, but I’d really appreciate it if you could get over your freakin’ damage. Maybe she got in the way of your OTP. Maybe she ruins the idea in your head that Dean is gay. Whatever it is, I don’t care. She is an incredibly strong, brave, kind, fierce woman, so get. over. it.
